You might be thinking this is just another salon and spa, but you’re wrong! Lumari Salon and Spa in Wilmington, MA is SO much more than that. Everyone is welcome here. It’s more than looking beautiful; these talented ladies want you to feel beautiful, too! 

What started as two best friends offering hair styling services has grown into an incredible team of beauty professionals who all share the same passion for helping their clients love what they see. 

The owners, Tanya and Nina, took time out of their busy schedules to let me interview them for this blog post. I hope you love getting to know them as much as I did.

Meet the Dynamic Duo Behind Lumari Salon and Spa 

“What is Lumari Salon and Spa, and how did you start?”

Nina: We started Lumari Salon and Spa back in 2015 with just the two of us. We were in a little two-person salon room, and then we moved over to our new place, which had 3 rooms for the spa. Then the massage place next door closed, so we took that over and converted it into another 5-room spa. Now, we are a full-service salon and spa. We have 11 members on our team now.

“Who does Lumari Salon and Spa serve?”

Tanya: Honestly, everybody. We do hair, we do skin care. We do everything. There is something for everybody here, including microblading, massage, permanent makeup, liquid IVs, nails, airbrush tan, and more to mention. We have such a wide range of clients in our room or chair at all times and we love it!

We have a wide range of younger kids, older women, and even men. Everyone is welcome and deserves to feel beautiful.

What Makes this Salon and Spa Different

“What makes Lumari Salon and Spa special?”

Nina: We all love each other. This is my best friend. We were each other's Maid of Honor when we got married. I think we have a very special space because we started this business as two friends who wanted to be together and do our own thing. 

Tanya: We were in our salon suite, and we’ve grown into having this space and having the capability to have our friends come here. These people are all our family, not just people we hire. We have an amazing vibe with each other, and we have all worked together before. Clients say we love it here, and you guys are so happy. Everyone is so fun. We like being here, and clients like being here. It's a safe place to be yourself. I think that’s amazing.

“What is Lumari Salon and Spa's vision for the future?”

Tanya: We’d like to have a big wellness presence with yoga, Riki, and all of that type of stuff incorporated with the wellness aspect of it. Taking care of your mind and body. 

Beauty is inside, outside, and how you perceive yourself. 

There are so many different venues of “beauty,” and we want to be able to touch upon all of them.
